COVID-19 vaccinations for children and young people in care

These information sheets provide information to child protection, care services providers and carers about vaccination for COVID-19 for children and young people in care.

All children and young people aged between 12 years and 17 years of age are eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines and will be offered either Pfizer or Moderna.

All children age 5-11 years are eligible to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from 10 January 2022. They will receive a smaller dose of vaccine created specifically for their age group.
