The Child Protection Mental Health and Wellbeing plan 2024–2025 helps us meet our commitment to support and protect the mental health and wellbeing of the Child Protection workforce.
The plan:
• provides a strategic and integrated framework for supporting the Child Protection workforce’s mental health and wellbeing
• recognises the unique nature of Child Protection services
• promotes continual improvement in child protection practitioners’ mental health and wellbeing throughout their careers.
The plan aims to protect staff and embed proactive approaches to support mental health and wellbeing, and prevent harm.
The plan includes:
• a framework to support and protect the Child Protection workforce’s mental health and wellbeing
• suggested actions relevant to child protection practitioners and the environment they work in
• resources to build our leaders’ capacity to create a psychologically safe environment for all staff.
